Carolina University Women's Soccer has released its 2024 schedule, following a historic 2023 season marked by a narrow loss in the regional final during double overtime. The Lady Bruins are eager to return to the field and aim for redemption.

The team is led by Junior defender and captain Annie Norwood, a two-time All-Region player who anchors the defense. Despite graduating multiple seniors, Norwood is expected to continue making a significant impact both on and off the pitch. Sidney Smith will be returning from a season-ending ankle injury, while Senior Kloe Totel, who had an impressive first season as goalkeeper with five shutouts and 62 saves placing her in the top ten in the NCCAA, will also be back. Due to injuries last season, Totel played several games on the field and scored her first two collegiate goals.

Head coach Boo Tesh returns for another season with high hopes of achieving unfinished goals from last year. The team will introduce five new players to the roster, with spring training proving beneficial for building depth. "We added some good depth," said Tesh. "We had the most productive spring out of my years here. The girls and I set our goals and standards and are excited for the fall to meet those expectations."

The Bruins will host exhibition matches at Truist Sports Park on August 17th and August 21st before starting their regular season away against Guilford College on August 24th at 6 pm. Supporters can follow the team's progress in person or via live stats/stream at cubruins.com.
