A contractor will close Atwood Road to through traffic between Wonderwood Drive and Eddystone Lane in Winston-Salem on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Thursday, June 6, for water and wastewater system improvements. The road will reopen each evening and remain open over the weekend.
Work will continue Monday, June 10, and is expected to be completed by Friday, June 14, weather permitting. The contractor is responsible for all traffic control, including flaggers this week and detours next week via Stratford Road. Motorists are encouraged to plan for alternate routes.
