5.2% of citizens unemployed in Forsyth County in 2021

Forsyth County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 9,839 people out of the 380,583 living in Forsyth County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Forsyth County has increased compared to the 4.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Forsyth County was nearly equal to the statewide unemployment rate of 5.2%.

Of the 178,240 people who had a job during that time, 726 were employed in the Armed Forces and 177,514 belonged to the civilian labor force.
