Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools issued the following announcement on December 21.
DECEMBER 21, 2021 – ‘Stang Drama Club partnered again with the Ronald McDonald House. We took up donations within our club, and we also had an amazing outpour from our faculty and staff.
Dana Johnson, who teaches science, even got her students to make small gift bags. (She bought all the things and they stuffed the bags.) Other staff members donated items, and some donated money.
Our students went way above and beyond. Kianna Andrews, who is a part of Drama Club, even made Christmas Cards to donate. Several club members even got their parents involved. Brandi Grant donated a plethora of items and stated that her mom had so much fun giving to this organization.
It’s a joy watching our students and staff come together during this time.
Our President Jasly Bonilla-Rodriguez is very passionate about community service and last year our Vice President Amayah Sloan presented the idea and importance of the Ronald McDonald house. This year it only felt right that we make it an annual tradition.
Park 11Today (Monday Dec. 20), I went to drop off the items and our President Jasly Bonilla-Rodriguez, Vice President Amayah Sloan, Research Advisor Tiana Sterling, and club members Kianna Andrews, Ayden Chanthavong, and Edgar Rojas Marin Jr. all joined me.
