Tax

Forsyth County issued the following announcement on July 30.

The Forsyth County Tax Administration has mailed out property tax bills to property owners.

Property tax bills should arrive in the mail beginning July 31, 2021. Property tax bills can be paid by mail, in person or online at http://forsyth.cc/Tax/taxbill.aspx. Transaction fees will apply for online payments.

A dropbox is located on the Chestnut Street side of the Government Center and is accessible 24 hours a day for your convenience.

In person payments are accepted at the Tax Collections Office on the first floor of the Forsyth County Government Center, located at 201 North Chestnut Street, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. during regular business days. Please wear masks or other face coverings when conducting business while in person at the Tax Administration Office.

Property tax payments are due on September 1, with a grace period until January 5, 2022. Property owners can make multiple payments towards a tax bill if needed. Property owners are responsible for paying their tax bill even if one was not received in the mail.
