During the holiday season, residents may experience changes to their solid waste collection schedules. The City of Winston-Salem is encouraging residents to download the WS Collects app, which provides notifications about any adjustments in refuse collection times.

According to city officials, the app aims to keep users informed and reduce confusion during periods when regular collection routines are altered due to holidays. Residents can receive timely updates and reminders directly through the app.

“Download the WS Collects app to get notifications of the changes, and let it do the thinking for you!” stated a representative from the City of Winston-Salem.

The city hopes that increased use of the WS Collects app will help ensure that residents are aware of schedule changes and can plan accordingly.
