National Night Out (NNO) is a community and police campaign aimed at increasing crime and drug prevention awareness. The event also seeks to support local anticrime programs, strengthen neighborhood and community-police partnerships, and convey a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organizing to fight back. This year, Winston-Salem will host the event on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, marking the 42nd annual celebration of National Night Out.

The official opening ceremony will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church located at 134 S. Peace Haven Road in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Additional celebrations will occur throughout the city. Neighborhood Watch groups interested in participating must register by July 18th.
