Job seekers in Winston-Salem have an opportunity to apply for a range of positions with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Utilities at a hiring event organized in partnership with NCWorks. The event will take place on Tuesday, September 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the NCWorks Career Center inside Goodwill, located at 2701 University Parkway in Winston-Salem. Overflow parking will be available at the coliseum.

Openings include roles such as maintenance workers, civil engineers, water servicers, and equipment operators. All applicants must have at least a high school diploma or GED. Hiring managers will conduct fast-track interviews for qualified candidates during the event, and top candidates may be referred for formal interviews afterward.

Candidates who hold a Class B commercial driver license (CDL) are especially needed for equipment operator positions in utilities field operations and solid waste facilities. Signing bonuses are being offered for some hard-to-fill roles.

Applicants are encouraged to bring five copies of their resume and dress professionally. Information about salaries and job descriptions can be found by searching “utilities” on the City of Winston-Salem’s jobs page at https://www.cityofws.org/jobs.
