Academy Street in Winston-Salem will be closed to through traffic between Gales and Lockland avenues on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting Thursday, March 27. The closure is due to wastewater system improvements and is expected to be completed by Friday, March 28.

Detours will be posted for motorists, who are encouraged to plan for alternate routes during the closure period.
