One of the scales at the Hanes Mill Road Solid Waste Facility is currently out of service due to a lightning strike during recent storms. This may result in delays and longer lines for larger haulers. Repairs are already scheduled.

Customers with vehicles and trailers that meet flat rate requirements should continue using the left side of the scale house. Details about rates can be found at cityofws.org/DocumentCenter/View/8377/Solid-Waste-Rates-eff-July-2025-PDF.

The facility encourages all customers to plan accordingly, adhere to posted rules, and remain patient with other citizens and employees.
