Forsyth Creek Week offers diverse community events from March 22-30

The annual Forsyth Creek Week is set to take place from March 22 to March 30, offering a range of activities for the public to engage with the local water environment. This event spans nine days and includes recreational, educational, and hands-on experiences suitable for all ages across various locations in Forsyth County.

Key events during the week include a jamboree at Winston Lake Park on March 23 at 2 p.m., a panel discussion titled "State of Our Water" at Piedmont Triad Regional Council on March 24 at 6:30 p.m., and a screening of "American River: A Film by Scott Morris" at Temple Emmanuel on March 25 at 6:30 p.m. Additional activities feature a tour of the Muddy Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant on March 26 at 5:30 p.m., mindful birding at Historic Bethabara Park also on March 26 but starting at 6 p.m., a Big Bass Fishing Tournament at Salem Lake Park on March 29 at 7:30 a.m., followed by "Air and Water Discoveries" later that morning.

Throughout Creek Week, other events such as themed activities for children, creek walks, frog walks, wetland walks, and cleanups will be held. Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful will organize The Greatest American Cleanup in Winston-Salem on April 5.
