Wake 'N Shake, a 12-hour dance marathon organized by students, is set to take place on Saturday, March 22, from noon to midnight at the Sutton Center. The event aims to raise funds for cancer research.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Wake 'N Shake began in 2006 as an initiative to support the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund. Students take charge of organizing, publicizing, and leading the event annually. Last year's marathon successfully raised over $300,000 for the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.

The theme for this year's event is "Fuel the Fight for a Cure," featuring racing-inspired designs and activities. During the marathon, two students will share their personal stories about battling cancer to motivate participants.
