The Carolina University men's soccer team secured a 2-1 victory against Spartanburg Methodist in their second encounter of the season. The match, held in Spartanburg, SC, saw a scoreless first half with both teams unable to capitalize on opportunities.

Carolina University's defense was solid throughout the game, effectively keeping the Pioneers at bay. Goalkeeper Goshua Wilson contributed significantly by making four saves during the match.

The deadlock was broken in the second half when Carlos Ramirez scored with an assist from Alexander Tweddle, putting Carolina University ahead 1-0. The lead was extended to 2-0 after Karell Buitendijk successfully converted a penalty kick. Despite the Pioneers managing to score before the final whistle, it wasn't enough to change the outcome.

Looking ahead, Carolina University's men's soccer team is set to play again on November 6th for Senior Night at home, with kickoff scheduled for 6:00 PM.
