The Carolina University Men's Soccer team is gearing up for the 2023 season, aiming to build on their previous successful year. Head Coach Craig Golding and his coaching staff, including assistants Tanner Theriot, Rhys Thomas, and Kevin Iglesias, are focusing on maintaining consistency.

Key players returning this season include sophomore goalkeeper William Cothill, senior defender Owen Vaughan, junior defender Robin Salge, junior forward Luke Spillane-Davis, and sophomore midfielder Karell Buitendijk. The team has also welcomed its largest recruiting class in history with new talents such as Thomas Yegbor from Ghana, Maxwell Tennant from Australia, and Julian Martin from Asheville.

"This is always an exciting time of year with new faces and returners," said Golding. "Each season brings new challenges but if we can compete and play hard hopefully we can have another successful season."

The Bruins will start their season with scrimmages against Columbia International University on August 14 and West Virginia University Institute of Technology on August 18. Their regular season opener is scheduled at home against Johnson University on August 23.
