Griffith 2DECEMBER 17, 2021 - The Griffith “Around the World Holiday Festival” was held Tuesday Dec 14. Approximately 300 families were in attendance.
The sole focus of this night was to bring joy and excitement to all. The entire school was set up for families to explore different holiday celebrations from different cultures. Families learned about the core principles of Kwanzaa and participated in traditions from this celebration.
Staff members created a winter wonderland for students to explore the meaning of Hannukah and participated in activities with parents.
Christmas was celebrated through various centers for creating cards, reindeer games, caroling and playing music.
Spanish holiday traditions were observed through literature and playing of games. Students left with a sweet treat made up of hot chocolate, candy canes, and Christmas Tree cakes.
But the best treat of all was having our families back in the building spreading holiday cheer.
