Enrichment Center - Human Resource Specialist

Winston-Salem & Forsyth County Arts Council issued the following announcement on October 8.

The Enrichment Center is looking for an experienced Human Resource Specialist to join our team

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent education and experience in the field.

·      5 years Human Resource/Payroll experience

·      Must be Bondable

·      Experience with Paycor Payroll System preferred

·      Benefit Administration and Worker's Compensation experience

·      Must be able to work independently.

·      Need to be a team player.

·      Must have clean criminal background

·      Strong written and verbal abilities

·      SHRM Certification                        

Description:   Administers policies and provides support for human resources activity within the organization by performing the following duties:                      

JOB DUTIES:

·      Responsible for Human Resources within the organization.

·      Ensure that a system for preventing, detecting, reporting, and resolving HR issues.

·      Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of Human Resources. Ensure HIPAA compliance of all records and practices.

·      Recruit, interview, test, and help select volunteers and employees to fill all open positions in the organization.

·      Perform all potential employee background checks. Maintain certification with SBI/FBI for fingerprinting.

·      Assist management in all personnel related issues.

·      Serve as Administrator for the Retirement Plan.  Ensure transmittal of biweekly contributions and creates journal entry.

·      Maintain relationship with benefit agencies. Administer benefit programs such as Life, Health, Dental, and disability insurance, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, FMLA and employee assistance and conduct all enrollments.

·      Maintain employee and volunteer personnel files to meet requirements.

·      Create and maintain the company HR/ payroll portal.

·      Ensure company documents are uploaded to the portal for employee convenience.

·      Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

·      Responsible for all aspects of the payroll process. Transmit scheduled payrolls and verify for accuracy.

·      Responsible for administering payroll deductions, approving monthly invoices, and transmitting monthly deductions for all benefit agencies.

·      Import biweekly payroll data into the General Ledger and prepare payroll reports as needed.

·      Responsible for annual Census report for all benefit agencies.

File and complete all Worker’s Compensation claims.      Prepares OSHA log of workplace injuries/accidents.

Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government      reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensure      policies, procedures, and reporting, are in compliance.

Plan and conduct new employee orientation for Personnel      related topics

Represent the Enrichment Center in a professional manner.

Attend scheduled trainings and workshops.

Serve as Chair of the Employee Satisfaction and Safety Committee.

Respond to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures,      and programs.

Prepare employee separation notices and related      documentation and conducts exit interview to determine reason for      separation

Keep record of benefit plan participation, such as      insurance and retirement plan, personnel transactions such as hire,      promotion, transfer, performance reviews, and termination and employee      statistics for government reporting.

Salary: $38K- $43K Annually
