Two Winston-Salem startups were included among 2020 NC TECH Awards Top 10 Startups to Watch, WinstonSalem.com reported.

Shyft Auto and Swipe.By were included on the annual list, which recognizes companies, organizations, and individuals for their innovation and leadership achievements.

Nominees went through a two-stage review process led by the accounting firm Cherry Bekaert and finalists and an independent selection committee selected winners, WinstonSalem.com reported. The winners will be announced at the NC TECH Virtual Awards, which will be broadcast on Nov. 17, 18 and 19 at 4 p.m.

Shyft Auto and Swipe.By are both in the Winston Starts cohort, a startup incubator that focuses on nurturing and assisting entrepreneurs to help them develop and scale their business ideas to a level of sustainable success, WinstonSalem.com reported.

Shyft develops software designed to assist the auto repair industry and fleet management and Swipe.By offers a digital platform that facilitates online ordering and curbside pickup services for restaurants and other small businesses, the site reported.
