FORSYTH COUNTY: Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) Requests Proposals

Forsyth County issued the following announcement on Aug. 25.

The Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) is now accepting applications for funding of programs that serve at risk and delinquent youth in Forsyth County. The approximately $49,877 anticipated allocation will be provided for fiscal year 2020-2021 (July 1, 2020-June 30, 2021). The JCPC will consider proposals for the following needed programs:

  1. Evidence Based Gang Prevention and Intervention (ex. OJJDP Street Outreach Model, Project Build, Cure Violence, G.R.E.A.T. etc….)
  2. Group Home providing therapeutic Evidence Based programming
  3. Evidence or Research Based Life Skills/Social Skill Building programs
  4. Allocation – JCPC Calendar
    • August 12, 2020 - Risk and Needs Assessment update
    • August 20, 2020 - RFP released
    • August 26, 2020 – Pre-Bid Virtual Workshop
    • September 28, 2020 at 1:00pm - Applications due
    • (TBA) - RFP Applicant Presentations
    • October 5, 2020 - JCPC votes on funding
    • November 2020- County Commissioners approval
    • December-January 2020 - funding begins
