Forsyth County recently issued the following announcement on Mar. 16.
EXTENSION OFFICE LIMITS IN-PERSON INTERACTIONS
The N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, is taking proactive steps to protect the health and safety of its employees and customers in respect to the potential spread of COVID-19. Our office is embracing the adage that families come first.
The Forsyth County Extension office is modifying services effective Monday, March 16, 2020 through April 3, 2020 in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Our goal is to minimize in-person interactions. After careful analysis of CDC recommendations on social distancing, discussions with Forsyth County Government officials and N.C. Cooperative Extension administrators, the following measures will be enforced:
- The Cooperative Extension office remains open, however, we strongly encourage citizens to avoid coming in person to the Agriculture Building, especially if you feel ill.
- All events and programs planned for the month of March have been postponed.
- We highly encourage all members of the public to conduct business without coming into the Extension Office.
- Our Agents and staff are committed to utilizing several forms of communication to serve the public, including, email, webinars, social media, Zoom calls and Google Hangouts, just to name a few.
