South Main Street in Winston-Salem will experience a temporary closure to through traffic for repair purposes, according to recent announcements by local authorities. The closure will occur between Anderson Drive and Haverhill Street from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, and Friday, May 2. This is to facilitate necessary repairs to the water system.

City officials have advised motorists to plan alternate routes due to the implemented detours for the duration of the work.
