Work on the sewer rehabilitation projects in Winston-Salem is set to continue, with a contractor scheduled to close certain streets during weekdays. The closures will occur from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting Monday, May 19.
The affected areas include the westbound lane of Waughtown Street between Bertha Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Thomasville Road between Brookline and Goldfloss streets, and Clemmonsville Road between Carlyle and Dudley streets. Completion is anticipated by Friday, May 23, contingent on weather conditions.
Traffic control will be managed by the contractor, and motorists are advised to avoid these areas and seek alternate routes.
