The Neighborhood Services Department announced on May 5 its latest edition of the “In the Loop” newsletter, highlighting upcoming events and opportunities for community engagement. The newsletter features information about an open house series taking place in May, as well as guidance on how residents can address home repairs.

The monthly publication aims to keep residents informed and connected with local initiatives. The department encourages participation in these events to help foster stronger neighborhoods.

“Stay informed, stay engaged, stay connected with Neighborhood Services Department’s monthly ‘In the Loop’ newsletter. This month, learn about the Neighborhood Services open house series in May and how you can turn repairs into relief,” the announcement said.

The City of Winston-Salem serves as a municipal government overseeing local public services, governance and civic functions for its residents, according to the official website. The city supports economic development by aiding businesses, jobs and minority enterprises while fostering community growth. It also manages infrastructure such as water treatment plants capable of processing 91 million gallons daily and maintains extensive water mains and sewer lines. The City Council consists of eight members representing wards along with a mayor elected citywide; it holds authority for enacting local laws, approving budgets and setting taxes within its municipal boundaries in North Carolina.

Looking ahead, officials say that staying up-to-date through resources like “In the Loop” helps ensure residents are aware of available services and opportunities to improve their neighborhoods.
