Former West Forsyth High School standout Kobie Cushing played on Thursday, May 22 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship

On Thursday, May 22, former West Forsyth High School standout Kobie Cushing’s current collegiate team the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears lost 3-7 against the Catawba Indians in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

The game took place at Newman Park at 6 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Catawba Indians in the tournament.

The Lenoir-Rhyne Bears’ next game will take place on Friday, May 23 at 6 p.m. at Newman Park.
