Former West Forsyth High School standout Kobie Cushing played on Friday, May 23 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship

On Friday, May 23, former West Forsyth High School standout Kobie Cushing’s current collegiate team the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears won 6-3 against the Catawba Indians in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

The game took place at Newman Park at 6 p.m. and was the second matchup against the Catawba Indians in the tournament.

The Lenoir-Rhyne Bears’ next game will take place on Saturday, May 24 at 6 p.m. at Newman Park.
