City offices will remain closed on Friday, April 18, 2025, in observance of Good Friday. However, CityLink, the city’s citizen service call center, will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to assist residents.

Residents should be aware that garbage collections set for Friday, April 18, will now occur on Monday, April 21. Meanwhile, there will be no changes to recycling and yard waste collections.

The Hanes Mill Road Solid Waste Facility, located at 325 W. Hanes Mill Road, will adjust its hours on Good Friday, operating from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The statement also informed that several solid waste facilities will shut their doors on Good Friday. These include the Old Salisbury Road Landfill, the Overdale Road Yard Waste Facility, and the Forum 52 Yard Waste Facility in Rural Hall. Additionally, the 3RC EnviroStation on S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. will be closed on both Friday and Saturday.

For further details, a complete list of sanitation collection changes for 2025 is available online at CityofWS.org/Sanitation. Residents may also call CityLink at 311 for more information.
