Carolina University Women’s Basketball played against West Virginia Tech on Friday at the Shawnee State Classic in Portsmouth, Ohio. The Bruins, under first-year Head Coach Hannah Latiolais, lost to WVU Tech with a final score of 64–59.

Head Coach Hannah Latiolais commented on her team’s progress: “Our growth is showing every single night,” said Head Coach Hannah Latiolais. “We’re a young group in a new system, but the effort, the competitiveness, and the belief in each other are increasing with every game. We put ourselves in a position to win against a very well-coached WVU Tech team, and now it’s about cleaning up the small details. I’m proud of their fight, and I’m excited to see how we respond tomorrow.”
Carolina University will next face Shawnee State on Saturday at noon as part of Day 2 of the Shawnee State Classic.
