Carolina University’s basketball team ended their season with a loss against Clinton College, falling 67-53 in the final game of the NCCAA Tournament. The team had previously secured a victory over VUL-Lynchburg with a score of 61-55. Throughout the tournament, Carolina demonstrated resilience and determination.

In their match against VUL-Lynchburg, Carolina managed to pull ahead in the final quarter, thanks to strong defensive plays and crucial shooting. Felesia Ondongo led with 18 points, making two three-pointers and achieving a perfect free-throw record. Nadia McDowell-Jackson added 13 points, while Le’Asia Matthews and Keyani Jackson contributed significantly as well.

The championship game against Clinton College was challenging for Carolina. Despite starting strong and trailing by only three points at halftime, Clinton’s second-half performance widened the gap. Ondongo, Jackson, and Matthews each scored 14 points in this effort.

Though the season has concluded for Carolina University, the team reflects on hard-fought games and plans to build upon this year’s experiences next season.
